If you are trying out for the first time, you'll need to provide your own racquet, wear court appropriate shoes (tennis shoes/sneakers), dress for the weather (layers) and bring water. (Energy drinks are prohibited). You must also have a basic knowledge of tennis: rules, scoring, and techniques.

Tryouts will be 24-26 February at our courts (weather dependent) starting at 2:45 and ending at 4:00. The below requirements/paperwork need to be turned into the front office by
19 Feb to participate in tryouts.
Please note that all athletes will be given a wristband to signify they are cleared for participation. The bands must be worn all 3 days of tryouts.
Tryouts for Spring Sports- Paperwork is due by 2/19 for all sports (baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, track)
- The front office will not accept paperwork on 2/24... athletes/parents will be instructed to submit paperwork in person at their respective tryout.
- Athletes will be given a wristband to signify they are cleared for participation.
- The band MUST be worn all 3 days of tryouts.
- The band is waterproof and can be washed.
- Those without a band will not be permitted to practice.
- Those missing paperwork on 2/24 must see Ms. Shanks prior to practice to be processed and receive their wristband.
Each athlete needs the following:
- VHSL physical dated after May, 1 2024
- Indicate sport on the top of page 1.
- The Kaiser forms still require pages 1,2,4 to be filled out.
- The physical must be completed in Virginia.
- Check to make sure the physician's office has stamped and dated page 3.
- Those with pervious disqualifying injuries will need a note from the orthopedic attached to the physical.
- Concussion training
- New emergency card
- Submitted to the coach dated after 2/1.
