FOREST PARK VOLLEYBALL 2024

• Tryout Dates: August 5^th – August 7th
• Time: 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm
• Location: Forest Park High School (Enter through door 4)
• Athletes in grades 9-11 can try out for the junior varsity team
• Athletes in grades 9-12 are eligible to participate on the varsity team
  • Seniors can only tryout for varsity
• Team practices are mandatory and will begin the day after tryouts and go through the end of the season.
• Athletes: season official start is August 5th. Vacations will not be excused absences. Varsity will have two-a-days the week of August 12^th-16^th.

Tryout requirements:

• Current 2024 VHSL Physical with stamp from Dr’s office
• PWCS Concussion Training certificate
• Emergency Permission Form (Blue Card)
• Completed enrollment at FPHS and minimum grade requirements

***Please have all items completed and turned in PRIOR to tryouts. You can turn paperwork into the front office. Please put VOLLEYBALL on any paperwork turned in. Coach will take it at check-in as well. It is suggested to make a copy of the paperwork before turning it in. If any athlete has missing paperwork, she will not be permitted to try out until it is in order. Tryouts are complete after the three-day period.

The coaching staff will work together to place selected athletes on the appropriate team. All athletes must attend tryouts to be considered for a team. All athletes are expected to attend every practice from August 5th until the end of the season (end of October for Freshmen/JV and mid-November for Varsity). We will not hold makeup tryouts.

What do you need for tryouts?

• All paperwork complete!!
• Indoor and outdoor shoes
• Workout/volleyball clothing
• Knee pads
• Water
• Inhaler (if needed)
• Have a positive attitude
• Be coachable
• Give optimum effort

  • August 12^th – 16^th: 5am-7am AND 4:30-6:30pm
  • August 19^th – end of season: 4:30 – 6:30pm
